Yunnan — from highland stays to tropical forests

Yunnan is China's most romanticised province, with more good hotels than easy to choose from. We anchor on Dali (Jianglu Miwan on Jinsuo Island, MUXI Dali Houshan), Lijiang, and the Shangri-la corridor — paired to your family, couple or solo profile.

Jianglu Miwan occupies all of Jinsuo Island, with Erhai sunrise and sunset framing the windows. MUXI takes Bai architectural vocabulary into contemporary minimalism. Dali rewards a slower stay; Lijiang works as a bridge between old-town texture and mountain country; continuing north requires deliberate altitude and transfer planning.

Spring and autumn are usually the most forgiving, while summer cloudscapes and dry winter light each suit different travellers.
