WHO IT SUITS
Fit travellers comfortable with long connections and flexible flights; not our first choice for older guests or young children

D6 combines rail and a long mountain transfer. D7 accommodation must be set around the D8 flight: a second Jinfo night is considered only for a verified late-flight connection.

Day-by-Day

Day 1

Arrive in Chongqing

Stay near Jiefangbei or Chaotianmen. If arrival time allows, enjoy a gentle walk past Raffles City and the illuminated Hongyadong exterior. Keep the emphasis on settling in.

Tonight · Chongqing city

Day 2

A city morning before embarkation

Choose either Shancheng Lane or the Three Gorges Museum in the morning. Collect luggage and follow the operator’s confirmed meeting time and pier. Shorten the city visit if a coach transfer is required.

Tonight · On board

Day 3

River time and a shore visit

Enjoy time on board with a possible shore visit such as Fengdu, Shuanggui Hill or Shibaozhai. These are examples, not a promised list. Stops, sequence, included admissions and optional excursions depend on the selected ship and sailing.

Tonight · On board

Day 4

Through the Three Gorges scenery

Follow the sailing’s programme for views of Qutang and Wu gorges and possible excursions such as Goddess Stream or White Emperor City. Water level, weather, cruising speed and navigation controls shape viewing times; no fixed hour or complete set of stops is promised.

Tonight · On board

Day 5

Yichang and the Three Gorges Dam

Coordinate disembarkation, the Three Gorges Dam visit and transfers with the operator; sequence and finishing time follow the actual sailing. Stay in Yichang this evening instead of connecting to a tight same-day train back to Chongqing.

Tonight · Yichang

Day 6

Yichang → Chongqing → Jinfo: a long transfer day

Take a suitably timed train back to Chongqing, then a private car to Tianxing Town. Keep half a day for rail and station connections, followed by roughly 2–2.5 hours on the road to the mountain, plus traffic contingency. This is the hardest travel day: check in and perhaps use the hot springs, with no scenic-area visit.

Tonight · Tianxing Town, Jinfo Mountain

Day 7

Jinfo highlights; the flight determines tonight’s base

Choose selected cliff-walkway, cave, meadow or stone-forest visits around access, weather and fitness. A second Tianxing night is considered only with a late D8 flight and sufficient transfer margin. For morning, midday or early-afternoon flights, return to a Chongqing hotel after today’s visit.

Tonight · Tianxing Town or Chongqing, confirmed against the departure flight

Day 8

Depart using the agreed transfer plan

If staying in Chongqing, transfer directly for your flight. If staying at Jinfo, return early and allow for roughly 2–2.5 hours on the road, city traffic and check-in. This version requires a late flight with a verified connection; add no sightseeing on departure day.
