When the city's clamor and the summer heat crest together, it is time for a true retreat into the wild. This journey carries you deep into Guizhou, anchored on three boutique mountain lodges of strikingly different character, for a cool-weather epic that runs from a roaring waterfall to a Yi highland village. Across six days you traverse five great landscape systems — waterfalls, gorges, karst caverns, alpine lakes and ethnic hamlets — drinking in the finest of Guizhou's scenery and living culture. The route is built around an altitude gradient (1,000 – 1,800 – 1,500 m), so that on a summer day in the forest the air feels a gentle 18–21°C, and the act of staying overnight becomes the most luminous chapter of the trip itself.

Day-by-Day

Day 1

Arrival & Transfer to JiangLu Cunxiao

Meet-and-greet at Anshun or Guiyang airport / station, with a private transfer to JiangLu Cunxiao — a 600-year-old Buyi stone village turned boutique castle. (Drive approx. 41–152 km, 40 min–1.5 h depending on pickup point.)

Day 2

Huangguoshu Waterfall & Stone Village, overnight at JiangLu Cunxiao

Stand before the thundering power of Huangguoshu, Asia's largest waterfall, then wander Stone Village (Shitouzhai), the cradle of Buyi stone craft and batik. Second night at JiangLu Cunxiao. (Round-trip drive approx. 10 km, 0.5 h.)

Day 3

Over the Dragon-Spine Sky Road to Liupanshui

Drive to Liupanshui, crossing the cinematic, ridge-running Dragon-Spine Sky Road along the way. Check in to the JiangLu City Hotel Liupanshui for a lofty interlude in the city of the 19°C summer. (Drive approx. 180 km, 4 h.)

Day 4

Plum-Blossom Mountain, Yi Village & the Cloud Meadows, then to JiangLu Shaga

Explore Meihua (Plum-Blossom) Mountain, the thousand-household Yi village, and the mirror-clear Yaochi lake, then ascend Axilisi Jiucaiping — Guizhou's grassland in the clouds. Evening arrival at JiangLu Shaga. (Drive approx. 300 km, 5.5 h.)

Day 5

Youshan River Gorge & Cangjin Cavern, overnight at JiangLu Shaga

Visit the Youshan River scenic area — the so-called Zhangjiajie of Guizhou — and the Cangjin Cavern, hiking among cliff-girt peaks and drifting mist and exploring an aeons-old karst cave. Second night at JiangLu Shaga. (Round-trip drive approx. 125 km, 3.5 h.)

Day 6

Departure via Qianxi to Guiyang

Travel back via Qianxi for a private transfer to Guiyang station or airport, closing the cool-capital epic. (Drive approx. 140–171 km depending on drop-off point.)
