Shangri-La — plateau nomadic life under snow mountains
Designed around your pace, interests and the people travelling with you—with a real advisor throughout.
Shangri-La is administratively part of Yunnan but culturally and geographically a region of its own. We work with Jianglu Saiduo Nomadic and Jianglu Wunongding at the foot of Meili Snow Mountain on plateau-slow-travel journeys: snow peaks, alpine pasture, mountain lodges and Tibetan home cooking.
December to March brings the clearest air and the best chance of Meili's sunrise alpenglow. Late spring through early autumn suits meadow walks, while the wet season needs flexibility for roads and visibility. Songzanlin, Napa Lake, Benzilan and Meili should not be compressed into two or three days; altitude adaptation and the quality of each stay matter more than collecting stops.
A WR advisor first listens to fitness, sleep, photography priorities and the ages of everyone travelling, then decides whether to continue to Meili, where to stay twice and which activities should remain weather alternatives. AI helps us organise facts and reach partners faster; route judgement and end-to-end care remain human.
